Average would probably be $5000 and up for decent bulls. $2.00/lb for any old bull.Yes I would. I had contacted a Red Angus breeder but they want more than I want to spend but maybe I am behind the times. What are reg. black/red Angus bringing in this market?
Well then I am going to look at a 21 month old red Angus tomorrow. I am not that knowledgeable on EPD's and his reg. # is 4892476. Any input is welcome.Average would probably be $5000 and up for decent bulls. $2.00/lb for any old bull.

Are you in a hurry? Buying a bull before you know what to look for? If you know what a good bull LOOKS LIKE... then go to the breeder and look over what he has to offer. Choose as many as impress you and THEN look at their EPDs. If you can't find one that satisfies your eye, before looking at the EPDs, go look for a different breeder.Well then I am going to look at a 21 month old red Angus tomorrow. I am in a hurry and I do know exactly what I want. I have seen both the sire and dam and phonetically they both were outstanding. I want moderation, I don't want fire and ice breeding, I just wanted feedback on the EPD's and I am not knowledgeable on Red Angus EPD. I pulled the trigger on the bull and he is being delivered this Wednesday. I will post some pictures. Are you in a hurry? Buying a bull before you know what to look for? Many cattlemen forget that they are selling meat on the hoof. You want bulls that will produce meat and that also means they need to perform in the field by servicing cows. Start with that.
