tring to figure the age the charolias bull should be 9 mo that pretty close but no idea the others herford 9/09 was 360 lbs now maybe 550 the angus we castrated about 2 mo. ago he was 275 9/09 maybe 475 now im just guessing the charolias is around 675 to 700 any ideas

I would have a better idea if I could see their TAIL. The longer the tail the more age they have.
So, if you have a small calf & it has a long tail - it's older & stunted.
And the proper term is CALF (CALVES) - not cows. A cow is a female that has had a calf.

In Jeanne's defense, her method has merit on cattle this size.

Once they are older you need to age by dentition.
And no, I didn't learn this from WIkipedia, I used it as a semi-credible reference.

This method only works at looking at CALVES - maybe up to yearling - and YES, there are always exceptions.

sorry i have 2 of the same post thought i had deleted this one couldnt get the pics to show .oh well havent taken any tail pics and as for calves not cows sorry told you i was new at this cow stuff
