Brahman or brahman cross cows do better ,in the south, on endophyte infected fescue grass?

Just an opinion but I don;t think any particulaar breed has an advantge dealing with endophyte. But individuals within a breed will have a greater or lesser tolerance. If Brahman influence had an affect I would think that they wold be more popular in the fescue belt

Seen a lot of Brahma influence cattle with fescue foot.
It may be that infected fescue intolerance is not noticed in Brahma as much because they don't have as much hair as the other breeds.
Not shedding the winter coat is a sign of fescue endophyte problems. Wouldn't notice that on a Brahma.

Had a couple brahman cows lose their tail switch from the fungus. i do believe its harder on some breeds that others

Having said that , many things around here are done a certain way because grand pa always did it that way.
I value the opinions of many of this boards members and the fescue issue reminds me to keep an open mind.
