Truck Parts

Looking at buying a 2007 Ram 3500 with the 5.9.
At the same time reading of impending Chrysler / GM bankruptcies.
How long will there be parts around for our trucks if these guys fold?

Ten years minimum. Used to be a requirement by law. Doesn't say anything about the cost of the parts, though. Don't know what it is today.

I would say as long as their is a demand because most parts aren't made by the manufacture they are made by aftermarket parts companies who manufacture for the automakers
Even the parts that have Chrysler,GM or Fords name on them

If there is a demand someone will sell them. Not to say there could be shortage problems at times.

Maybe worrying for nothing. Looks like union workers are going to give a little.
Imagine that, they are considering paying into their own pension plans!!!

Fiat deal is looking better if the debt thing with the banks can be managed.
Crossing fingers and buying the truck anyhow! :banana:
