I have a Agco Allis 6690 that makes some gear noise when its in gear....but it is inconsistent, sometimes it only does it in the forward gears and then sometimes only in reverse. When it is in neutral and running there is no noise. Oil levels are good...but the noise sounds like you hear the gears in the trans turning. Otherwise it shifts and runs just fine, Anybody have an idea of what may be causing it? Its only noticeable inside the cab and mostly in the higher gears.
Maybe worn bushings or spacers in the transmission?
