To Cut or not To Cut

94 acres of bermuda. Need to keep 100 bales for myself, would you cut all of it this late in year and sale what I don't need. Or only cut what I need and graze the rest.

Bermuda tends to get tough this time of year. I would cut it all because it may be better forage now than if you wait and graze.

Our agronomist says that for every week (past peak quality)delay in cutting bermuda, the nutritional value declines by 10%.

I'd rather feed good hay than poor grass.
 
Cut it all short and sell what you don't need. Come behind the bailer and plant rye grass to graze. Then sell more hay. You won't need as much hay while grazing rye grass. Then get an early cutting of rye grass next spring.
