Time zones are one of those things I never gave a thought about before moving here. In the past traveling and occasionally crossing a line was no big deal. Now I live about 25 miles from the line. That can make you an hour late to appointments if you don't remember to allow for it. Earlier this week we were on the freeway at Fare Well Bend. I glance at the clock. It said 5:00. I thought at home at 5:00 it is dark out. It was good and light out there. Just a couple miles up the road I cross the county line and it is 4:00. Thirty minutes later I am home and we are losing light fast.
Now I am sitting here at a little before 7:00 in the morning. It is starting to get light out. Back those few miles to the east it is nearly 8:00 and just now getting light out.
