I have cow who calved last night and is able to get up, but is not moving very well. I am almost positive it is tibial nerve damage, but I am not sure on a treatment for this or if she is a lost cause overall for breeding back? Any help is appreciated!

Benign Neglect. If she is up that's 3/4 of the battle. You could feed her aspirin to ease the discomfort and swelling, but just moving around is the best treatment. A pinched nerve, as long as she recovers is no reason to cull a cow. A pinched nerve from calving isn;t all that uncommon and not that serious either.

I have dealt with that a few times and they all recovered 100%. Time is about all you can do.

Must not be too worried. Hasn;t been back since the original post
