Finally...I don't have to search the net for articles on cow/calf production! Or health and nutrition, or just plain wacky questions!
So...I will start off with a wacky question...
I have a small commercial angus cow/calf program. A registered anugus bull (Bushwacker) was introduced to our 3 cows and 7 heifers around late april of last year. All have finshed calving (one stillborn due to calving problems we couldn't get to in time) except for one heifer. She looks pregnant, her utters are pronouced, but not full, and the bull certaintly doesn't seem interested. She is a daugther of 6I6, healthy, but a extremely late weaner (she kept sneaking back to her mama.) Could she have conceived that much later than her sisters/herd mates?
Or is she simply not a breeder?
Thanks for your help.
