My premiums where to run year round as I was constantly putting a weaning age bull calf in the bull lot.
Had lot's of customer's that wanted to buy that 8 to 10 month old bull calf and finish raising him off.
Some wanted a older bull so I always had a selection to pick from. Price was easy 100 dollar's for each month plus 100.
If you wanted papers plus 200 and a 100 for each month of age. I still get call's today and I quit messing with bulls three years ago.

Dittos here! If I had owned land with decent fences, I would be in the bull business, not cow calf.
I bought registered weaned or yearling Black Angus bulls.
Many times I bought yearlings for $1,000, used them for 4 years + and sold them for $2.000 +.
One I sold for $3,000 after using him for 4 years.

It don’t get any better than this! And you too can do it for either year-round or seasonal breeding.

Just checked the 2/12/13 local sale price for slaughter bulls over 1500 lbs.
1.005 per lb. That’s $ 2,010 for a 2,000 lb slaughter bull.
Hello, that’s around a 25% return on investment for 4 years.

If that’s not how to make money I don’t know what is!!
