Yep, and back to good ol' dial-up! :lol:

Got home just after one this morning, and I got to appreciate the country a lot more after stepping out of the truck.

SILENCE! Complete and absolute solitude, no sirens, no vioces of people, no traffic going by, just complete quiet and fresh country air! AND I could actually see all the stars! :D

One never really appretiates the country until you've been living in the city for a couple of weeks with all the noise, and then come home and all you hear is wind whispering in the trees and a cow (or steer, calf, bull...) sneezing and the coyotes a-howling. :nod: 8)

Aaaahhh! Life is sooooooooo good out in the country! No matter what!

(Oh yeah, almost forgot. Give me an hour or more to have some pics posted on here.)

Can't beat that. I love walking out my front door looking up and seeing all the stars. This is the first time i've lived completely out in the country, been in big cities and small towns til now, and I couldnt see myself living any other way.

Blackie and char at one of the bale feeders. Notice Blackie settin store by his back leg? I looked at it when he was up with the others, and it's pretty swollen around the ankle area, so I think he's got foot rot. I'll have to put him in this evening (when it's cooler; its about 25C out now) to give him some medicine.

no wonder you were home sick, looking at those pic's, I think I would be if I had to leave all of that behind. Looks like a very nice place you have there, and those little un's are looking bigger and so much fun, the cows look good to too. Hope the one with the bad leg is better soon. and more pic's anytime. ;-)

Thanks chrisy, I couldn't get that lame one in cause a storm blew over yesterday evening, with lightning and thunder crashing like crazy and raining too. And it was still thundering when it got dark. So IF it doesn't storm again today, I'm gonna get him in and give him a shot of Oxymycine LP.

But, all in all, the cats are happy, rambunctious as ever, and growing like weeds, the cattle are fat and happy, got silaging done (I missed out on that cause of my summer classes :x :P ; the pile is huge, 'bout as tall as the cattle shed nearby), and the alfalfa is in full bloom...

ready for second cutting.

AND I'm home for about three weeks!!! YEEHAW! :cboy:

I know what you mean about being home. I spent the entire day in San Antonio, Texas last Friday going from warehouse to showroom picking out tile, cabinets, doors, etc. for the house I'm having built. I spent way too much time stuck in traffic between stops and then with all the construction and detours....well, I was about ready for a straight jacket before heading home! I sure was glad to get back to the peace and quiet of the country that evening. Even if everything is brown and burnt up because of the drought! I don't know how people deal with the hustle and bustle day in and day out.
