Especially this time of the year when I walked outside this morning, everything is in full bloom the birds are singing absolutely gorgeous. If the north had springs like this they wouldn’t be so grumpy :hide:

We do - they just come three months later than your!

Nice thing is - the cold kills most of the creepy crawlies - I get such a kick out of hearing how you guys hate / fear snakes.

Only snakes we get up here we want - they eat the bad things that manage to survive the winter.

I will admit I'm a bit jealous, but in a couple hours the temperature is supposed to hit 60 degrees for the first time in 6 months so people are kind of cheerfull around here today.

and here i sit hoping that it will stay cold and snowy for another couple of weeks so that we can have some water to use in august.

I guess it's all about perspective!

Talk to me again in July and August when it's 107 deg, rain is an old memory, and all the greenery has fried to a crisp.

Anybody can have a bad day, and I gotta say, a little fire in the belly and a bunch of tenacity goes a long, long way in my book.

have a few moccasins try to get in the boat with you.. are lift up a board, and have a copper head strike at you.... are wake a sleeping rattler.... you'll soon understand :cowboy:

Or get bit in the foot by that copperhead and most of your leg swells up twice it's size before you can get 8 miles to the Emergency room and it turns black the next day.
fun times..

Just came back from Mexico. 365 days a year of pretty darn nice weather unless you live in the mountains, but I be dam if I want to be a permanent resident or citizen there one dam minute.

Okay, at the risk of sounding like some kind of "Polly-Anna", here's my observation.

I've lived in Ohio, California, Maine, NewYork, Virginia, Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, and I've finally settled in Tennessee. I've found every one of those places to be delightful. Different, but delightful in their own ways.

It's gorgeous here in Middle Tennessee right now. This is certainly my favorite time of year. What a marvelous world our Creator has made for us.

I kinda like the the south myself. The moon last night was almost pink and the weather is beautiful today. 47 this morning and 78 right now. But the best part of living in the south is, were not in such a dang big hurry. And Bikini's are a lot better to look at than jackets.

I don't recall seeing any insects when I was down there.
