You know how you see that perfect shot that you'd like to share... but you didn't have your camera. Or you did have your camera and were too slow, or hit the wrong button and ruined the shot. Or maybe you did take the pic and it just didn't turn out because your eye had compensated for low light or distance.

Here's mine from last night. Dusk, still daylight but only just, the sky is glowing yellow behind the trees in the west, blue above the trees. The dairy herd is walking west, raising a cloud of white dust off the track and at the rear of the herd the two Jersey bulls are play-fighting, circling head to head and shrouded in dust so that only their backs and heads are visible while the cows are vague silhouettes beyond.
The bulls look white, like Murray Greys.

What pics have you not taken?

There's been a lot of pictures at dusk I sure wish I'd been able to capture on camera- I definitely know the feeling rego. For me, they're usually they're pictures I wanted to take but I was working - bringing the camera out wouldn't have made the boss too thrilled. LOL.

One from this spring... it's afternoon and we're riding horses through the herd, checking for new calves. The ground has about 6 inches of snow already on it, dead grass from last fall shows above the snow and sometimes comes a good foot above the snow. There's miles of open country, hills and mountain ranges off to one side, but mostly open with slight changes in terrain. We can't even get cell service, that's the kind of country we're in. It's cold out and the red and black cows have snow on their backs. My boss sits on his buckskin gelding, flat brimmed hat, well worn chinks and rope on the saddle. Snow is falling, and to the east the sky is black with storm clouds. The sun has just peeked through the western clouds, lighting up the snow and the cows and that buckskin gelding and the miles of open range.

Still wish I'd had my camera then. Storm clouds behind that buckskin horse and cowboy lit up by an evening sun made for quite a few more pictures that made it in the "pictures I wish I'd taken" file.

Too many 'wishing I had camera' around those bulls - I might even miss watching them when they go. They skip like calves, little jumps and twirls are too comical :)
Nothing as picturesque as the other evening; and supposedly rain is on its way to settle the dust.

I can 'see' your picture, maybe not as you saw it but lovely nonetheless. I dunno, I never had to worry about a boss when it comes to using a camera but I've certainly *been* a boss and discovered that the instant your help has an idle moment the cellphone is out and all their attention is on texting. That gets a little irritating
