The mule

Looks like another good movie from him. What a legacy of great films he has been involved with.

I saw the trailer on 'the big screen' last weekend when wife and I went to watch a very forgettable Bad Times at the El Royale.......a dark, violent, horrible movie and we were the only 2 people in the theater....now I know why.

The Mule trailer did look promising, tho yes, it was kind of a shock to see Rowdy Yates/Lt Kelly with so many wrinkles and bulging veins, especially since we were sitting only about a dozen rows back..

Pea Cans...

Wow Greybeard! I didn’t have you pegged as a guy who went to the movie theater.

Exactly what my wife and I both said afterwards.

(That was the first movie we've seen in a theater in several years and we may never go see another)

I have to confess. I get more satisfaction out of my work projects than my entertainment ventures. I was chatting with FFS. I think I am a fencing nerd. I get great satisfaction out of a nice, neat, tight fence when I am done.

I have just the perfect place for you to practice. Beautiful little place in East Tennessee. I will let you alone to enjoy yourself while I go see the movie.

What lured you to go see it? I know that people who rarely go to the movies will occasionally go if it’s something they really think they will like. I had actually never heArd of it. I looked it up and see that Jeff Bridges is in it. I like him in other stuff, and the plot actually sounded interesting, but I guess they just didn’t pull it off well.

Jeff Bridges is also good in a little known move titled " He** or Highwater". It is well worth the watch.

I like Bridges. That is a good Movie. Yes!

We were already in the area (30 miles from home) late dinner & doing some shopping and we wanted to kill some time while a torrential downpour abated.

The movie was probably not 'bad' except for the violence and the presentation of human evil and senseless death. I've seen plenty of carnage in real life, don't care to see more of it in media.
The plot, is definitely full of surprises.... along the original Twin Peaks series way of doing things.
There was nothing really wrong with the acting, & there were only 6-7 characters in the whole movie except for spot appearances in a couple places.

Went and saw The Mule this evening with the wife.
She felt it had a sad feel to it.
I liked it well enough. He is looking frail. Highly impressed that he could lead act, direct and produce a quality movie at his age.

Wife and I went and seen Clint in what is most likely his last picture tonight. I thought it was a good picture with an underlying message along with the plot of the movie. Eastwood is one of my all time favorites. I think it would be a satisfactory pinnacle to a stellar career, unless he wants to do a sequel to The Outlaw Josey Wales
