I see why the mods don't want us discussing certain topics. There are people on here that I have really learned to respect their opinion as a producer. Then I find out their political persuasion, or their stance on certain sensitive subjects, and it kinda kills it for me.

Before someone hits me low and late, let me say I respect everyones opinion. I'm also not so hard headed that I can't change my mind when persuaded. Certain subjects are so cut and dry for me that I just don't have wiggle room.

I guess I'm too set in my ways about certain things. I'll change my herbecide. I'll change my herd health program. Even my approach to genetics. I can't really change my entire belief system.

I'm starting to think the less I know about my friends here the better.

Not everybody sits a horse the way I do. Until lately I thought everybody that sat on a horse thought the way I do.

Bigfoot, nothing wrong with seeing your world in black and white. It's either right or it's wrong. Liberals see it in grey and will say and do just about anything, and not stand up for nothing.

 dam you're in fine form lately

Hook I am as far from being a Liberal as you can get and I KNOW that there is plenty of gray in this world.

At 25 to 40 i was pretty sure that most things were black and white. The one thing that strikes me more every day i get past 60 is how much gray there is in the world. Including the fact that even things i don't agree with will usually contain at least a grain of truth.

Most of us are of the same political persuassion but some issues turn into politics that shouldn't have anything to do with politics. If you're talking about hook's thread then I guess you've decided we can't be freinds because I was gone for a day or two but I'm back and I've read it and I'm with 3waycross and dun... (but not in any way shape or form as a 3way or anything that has to do with the subject at hand. :yuck:)
If you want freedom, you have to support freedom... not just freedom for people that think the same way that you do.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a difference of opinion as long as we can discuss it in a civilized manner and realize that at our collective average ages there will, more than likely, be no switching sides. As far as how I set a horse, I doubt, at a distance you could tell much difference between me and Bigfoot except for the size of the feet and his enormous stirrups.

and your cute little chaps and massive noggin

It's not really about hooks thread, or being friends. It might be just me, but I have a mental picture of everyone on here. Not so much a physical picture, but a generalization of their character. The more we discuss things unrelated to cattle the more obscured my image gets. I guess I'm a visual learner.

I call it like I see it, and you can see it anyway you want. But the bottom line is what's right is right. And I am willing to go the distance for what I believe in. I will fight till my last breath to keep the queers, and pedophiles out of the mainstream and in the closet. And if you don't like it, well you know the rest.

I just got a kick out of how you so eloquently stated your opinion. :lol2:
We all have our own opinions on things and they aren't always the same. I'm good with that.
I do enjoy a good, respectful discussion on various topics. Especially with people that have a head on their shoulders and can debate without turning things ugly.

Bigfoot, did my bikini picture change your mental image of me? Sorry bout that

Sure wish you could transfer the mental pictures to here. Bet some would look weird. Probably me first one. :lol2: :lol2:

I've learned that people with different values than mine can be good people... They are the ones that have to answer for their sins so I'm willing to leave that to hands bigger than mine and deal with the human in front of me. I live by what I believe but I don't expect everyone else to live by my beliefs. I do it for me and my relationship.
We ALL have shortcomings and we can all learn from each other as well.

Like a lot of people on this forum, my family and I have fought on several continents and in many wars so that all can have freedom. While I definitely am not a liberal, I will never deny their rights as long as they do not deny me mine. Our mental images sometimes tend to cloud our perspective. I want to thank all who have given freely of their knowledge and experiences for those in need.
