Glad we have a expert on here that lock threads with little intelligence like the one from Kentucky, now he's from Georgia, not hard now to figure why the south lost.

I notice some threads get locked, and then unlocked. I was thinking it was maintenance or stopping some war of words.
I have to admit I have not read the policy on locking threads etc.

About a year ago it seemed every second thread was locked. I think our herd has been culled a fair bit since then. Some walk a fine line and you can see it coming. Bright raven walked that line better than any i have seen but must have crossed it at some point. Can't believe he hasn't reincarnated back somehow like he did many times before. Some come with a bang and go with a bang, an angus breeder comes to mind.......

The opening acts were Ky Headhunters and Sawyer Brown; his show blew them off the stage.

Most forums seem to give reasons for moderation or locking of threads. Not sure of how that works here.
I remember one i was on years ago, and one member was the most stroppy and abusive and would write all kind of stuff......then it would all dis appear, this user was on there for years, the others would get banned etc
In the end it seemed obvious they were also running a mod account and that was why they could write all kind of personal stuff freely, it also slowly killed the site and a few offshoots over last year of life emerged & finally it was closed. It was killed by that 1 person.
I am only becoming aware since looking and using this coffee shop area of existing politics etc, it really should be called the "bar" at times.....lol.....
I forgot about the Ky Headhunters, I can't believe how time has flew by. I remember them well. The popcorn symbolizes when things are about to get interesting and watching from the sidelines, .....lol...I changed it as second thought it was not appropriate.herofan said:

I will say that Ky Headhunters were second best at that show. They were just starting and opened the show; they got a big reaction. It must have just been a different kind of energy, but Sawyer Brown almost put everybody to sleep. I know that's hard to believe, because they are known as an energetic band, but it was just a different feel. Then Hank came out and blew them all away.

The post was in some a sarcastic way, had nothing to with moderators, just certain folks that have a way to lock threads, like the virus thread, and don't need to mention the other one that was far above us, the north and south was sarcastic.herofan said:

Best forum i was ever on used to give reasons for locks. Usually they would write "everyone has had their say and there is little benefit continuing"
I think it helped that the three moderators were well respected and actively involved in discussions and never nasty, blunt but not nasty. One day the main moderator died suddenly and we found out he was paying all the costs to keep it running, and that was the end of the forum.
