The nurse at the local clinic called Mrs. Johnson to inform her that Mr. Johnson would have to come in and take another test, because his test results had been mixed up with another Mr. Johnson's test results. Both had been in the day before. Mrs. Johnson explained that she could not afford another test, because Medicare would only pay for one test. "What were the results?" Mrs. Johnson asked.
"It seems that one Mr. Johnson has alzheimer's and the other Mr. Johnson has AIDS", the nurse explained.
"Is there anything we could do short of re-testing? Mrs. Johnson asked.
"I guess you could take your husband into town and drop him off ."
And how would that help?
"Well, if he finds his way home, don't sleep with him?"
