That is an odd looking Dutch Blanket cow.I thought they were supposed to be polled ;-) .

I know absolutley zero about goats but holey schmoley he sure is packing.He puts alot of bulls that have been posted lately to shame.

He's commercial boerXnubian to use on crossbred does.
 
Looks like a goodern' to me but like everyone else, I am not well versed in the goat business. I've seen several sell that look like that one - they always seem pretty high to me.

When we were kids 16 or 17 we sneaked into a fellows place to pasture breed my buddies nanny goat, to his buck. Ended up having to catch the stinky old sob and bring him to her before it was all over.

There was no amount of soap to get rid of that stench. We would have cheerfull cut off our arms at the shoulder to get rid of it except we couldn't figure out how to get it done with only two of us.

If Billy goats were bringin $5 per pound and I could buy them for 3 cents I wouldn't handle another one. I can still smell that stinker 40 years later.
 
He looks pretty good, Cowgirl.

He looks to have good feet and legs, a nice shoulder, good testicles, strong back, good length (although he's bristled up so it creates an illusion of shortness) and a thick front end.

Where I think he could improve would be his thickness. He's got the thickness in his chest but doesnt appear to carry it right through along the topline and into the rump. I'd like to see more depth and bulge to his hindquarter, and a thicker rump from the back view. He could do with more bone too.

He's looking a bit out of proportion but I think he will balance out as he matures. Has he been working yet? Often I have found young bucks will really mature once they have been put with a mob of does.

Overall I like him and would use him.

He's definitely got nubian ears. Just a question, why have you opted to go with a crossbred buck to put over the crossbred does, rather than a full blood?



3 way cross, he doesnt even look like he's heavily in rut. At this stage he should be smelling like roses!
 
Keren - he's with 3 does right now. I'm pretty sure all 3 are bred. He will be getting some more girls shortly.

As to the crossbred. I had the does 1st and was looking for a full boer buck. But, I happened upon this guy. I liked him and the price was great so....here he is.
