Just talked to the fella I bought my Reg GV's from. He says he used him a lot. Really liked him, only reason he quit using him is he would throw some calves that had pretty high PAP scores. For your country that don't mean nuthin.
I told my friend you would probably cross him on some very good RA cows and he said he would definately give you some great calves.
Funny you would ask about him I have 3 heifers that are out of his half brother and one is double bred to Cocoa, his sire. The all have calved unassisted for me in the last two days with calves ranging from 80 to 88 lbs.
Du have you looked at a bull named Independence from Bull Barn. I have one heifer on the ground out of him and another one on the way. He's a good bull

No offense Bandit, he's a pretty good looking bull and his numbers are real nice. The downside at least for me is capacity, heartgirth, and I don't like his neck and shoulders. He's looks short coupled in the neck and shoulders. maybe not as CED as the numbers would indicate.

These bulls weaning under 600 really gets me. I would not even keep a bull intact at weaning time if he had the weaning weight of Tabasco and Freedom and what not. Of course I always did like the JRI bloodline from Judd Ranch but that is me.

For the record Freedom sired JRI Heavy Equiptment he weaned at 756lbs. He is also the most used Red sire in the breed. Maybe they didn't cut him at weaning because they are capable of assessing ALL his EPD's and phenatype, not just selecting for one trait.
TMBP--------the cream always rises to the top doesn't it?
if you had been lurking before you joined like you said, you surely seen some of his handy work.....cowman30":1ed28mtk said:3waycross":1ed28mtk said:cowman30":1ed28mtk said:What about this one?

Well perhaps that one bull was an exception to the rule. Who is TMBP?

Cream isn't the only thing that floats to the top.
