I have a 5 month old heifer calf with a swollen naval. Not sure whats going on, Friday she was fine and Saturday she was swollen. Any ideas?

If the calf was a newborn and acting ill I'd suspect navel ill. Highly unlikely to materialize out of the blue in an otherwise healthy 5 month old calf. I'd be inclined to think the heifer has an umbilical hernia that you didn't notice until now and/or has a genetic based predisposition for that trait i.e. significant Brahma influence.
Have you felt it? Hot? Squishy? Hard?
