Here's some pics of some commercial cows that the renter's having out on our pastures to do some pasture clean up. Some parts of them might seem a little fuzzy to you, but that's because I was hiding in the grass so a) I could get some good pics without scaring them and b) I wouldn't scare them.

Lets see what you folks think of these cows...would you wish they were yours too?

This gal must be a limo-red angusX, with more RA than Limo..

Younger RA cow

Face-grazing the same way

Length, depth, thickness, and milk. The only thing left is fertility and it looks as though they have had calves or are going to.
Nice looking cattle.
I do question how you know so much about their breeding from just sneaking a peak through the brush?

Beautiful girls - are they in that flesh just on grass? If so - my kind of cow. The udders look like they have all calved before - if they can raise calves equal to or better than themselves, then yes, I wish they were mine. (And they are red :D )

They look good AB , if you like red.. :P

If they are like mine their babies have been off them since Sept. Mine hit the 650-750 lb range and were weened.

It was a good year for cows on pasture alone this year in Alberta.

I don't...I was just guessing based on "looks". And I wasn't just "sneaking a peek" through the shrubbery I was actually sitting in the shrubbery, and studying them for almost an hour as they grazed. The cows got a little suspicious after a while, they knew something wasn't quite right about this plaid "rock" sitting there by the fence...

Since all of you requisted pics of their babies, I couldn't get much of a shot of them, except maybe one good one:

The next couple are poor shots of some more calves:

And this little guy, he looks like one of those big cows that have teats too big for him to nurse on (seen her but didn't get a pic of her):

Plus looks like there's some more calves behind him.

I like the red cows...black cows are nice too but the reds seem to be my cup of tea because they don't have that CAB influence memior with them, so to speak...it's just nice to see/have something different other than BLACK black black...I couldn't care less whether they don't sell... BTW Half the time any black animals I've helped raise from weaners don't want anything to do with me, and the "pets" I've made of animals that are black are few and far between. The only "black" "pets" I've made were BWF...and even those are kinda scarce...

But lets get back to the evaluation of these here cows shall we?

Good cattle there... but..as the good book says: though shalt not covet.
wait.. maybe cattle dont count this time.

Nice to see someone with cows that are as FAT as mine!!!!! People always tell me my cows are too fat! They are!

LOL it seems as those cows are a bit spoiled (they ain't mine btw), from a visual score, those cows look to be a fram 3.5 to 4 out of the Canadian BCS system of 5. Seems like, now as I'm having a second look at them, the cows look better'n the calves... :?
