I was was spraying today and around noon when our Brangus cattle were laying under the trees all the Brimmers came walking down the road. They were actually headed in to the brush area to graze the scendaros... at 12 noon. Multiple people have told me they eat yaupon leaves so I have been trying to catch them doing it with my own eyes. I eased around them on tthe tractor but no luck.

Yes they eat yaupon.
It is hard to find one around here they can reach.

They will eat prickly pear and cedar berries to.
They gorge on acorns in the fall with no effects.every one looks for ways to add efficiency and dollars. Brahman cattle do that to everything you cross em with. And many herds are dog gentle. I think folks need to keep em a little rank thougyh. Get em to gentle and everyone is gonna jump on board.

All the ones yesterday were pretty darn gentle, even in the ring, for being in an auction and being brahman, I was impressed.

Some of the ones I could make out were decent cattle. They just needed to be polished a little. Thats a little high though. You can shop around and get some sure enough quality, maybe even a little younger, for that price.

I hate auction scenarios because its easy to get caught up in it for an young man like myself.

Yeah I think people got excited. They just needed some groceries. Those cattle had been there 5 days. You know they lost weight. And they looked like they hadnt been wormed. Plus for a repo that guy probably couldnt afford to feed anything.

Never owned any full bloods but a pasture full of them is a beautiful sight.
