Got a chance to ride Peppy this afternoon. Here's a few pics...

Peppy's ready to roll. He's fat from lack of attention by his owner.

I really like this view. Wish I could see it more often.

The bull and a few of the ladies.

One of my favorite calves from this year. Wish I had a bunch more like her.

Another one - bull calf.

love the pics of your cattle from horseback.you have some goodlooking cows an calves.an your horse looks good as well.

Thanks BB. Don't get to ride very often, but I sure do enjoy it when I do. Peppy and I were both tuckered out when we finished. I think we rode for about 3 or 4 hours. Bet we'll both sleep good tonight!

I sure like your horse. He reminds me of a grandson of Three Bars I roped on in high school.

3way, he is a grandson of Peppy San Badger on the top side and a great grandson of Doc Bar on the bottom. So he's kin to your old horse on the bottom side.

He's pretty short. I've never measured him, but I would guess around 14.1. When he's fit, he is a cutting son of a gun and a heck of a lot more athletic than his owner.

Wewild - I've got a good friend that has a wagon and mules. He rides the county roads around his house and I think he prefers the wagon and mules to a car because he can't get a DUI. :)

Great pics skyline , good looking cattle !

Texas law must be different, around here they will give you a DUI on anything that moves .

I love the look on that horses face in the first picture. Seems like he might be thinking;

"Oh dang, what is that idiot planning now?"

or

"I was perfectly content to do nothing".

or

"Can't you just leave alone?"

or

"If you get in just the right position back there, I'm going to blast you"

Larry, I could be wrong about that. But I don't think he's ever had a problem with the law during a ride and he gives them plenty of opportunity.
