stressed out

seems like when stops raining you get 2 days but the fields are too wet pasture has standing water barn lot half mud ,and weather man says we will get more rain moveing in ,im already 1/2 yr behind on projects i needed done 6 months ago.top it off with starting new job .yea ! anyone else stressed out or is just me !

I've been short handed and extremely busy for the past two months. it's been extremely hot.
Trying to get winter pasture planted, and lost several days to weather. I've had a terminal breakdown on a very key and expensive piece of equipment. Got a few straggler calves on a lease pasture that I can't catch. And I stepped on a board with a nail in it. Been doing it all crippled for 3 weeks.
But I'm not stressed at all. I get up every day and do the best I can. Worrying ain't going fix anything.

I'm always stressed out but you do the best you can. We've had a terrible drought here in paradise. Only managed to get 1 cutting of hay so far. And some years I'd be cutting my fourth and final in 2 weeks.

I hear ya mooo. This rain every other day for the last 2 months has made it about impossible to accomplish anything. I couldn't take it anymore yesterday, so I stayed out in the rain and trimmed fenceline on a 25 ac pasture. Came to the house soaked, but feeling good because I got something done for a small change.

We could sure use some rain and cooler whether here. Been one of the hottest summers on record here and driest. If it doesn't cool down and we get rain I will be feeding hay in a couple weeks. I usually don't start till the first of dec.

Might as well have taken those at my place mooo. :nod:
I was standing in about 8 -10" in some places to clean fenceline. Never seen a July or August in Indiana with rain fall like this. I'm just hoping some of the fertilizer I put out stayed on the pastures...but not too likely

callmefence im just hopeing we dry up before hard frezz .im afraid these post will jump outa the ground there almost 4 ft in the picture shows post i pounded in last fall.and driven a staple in them they were shakeing last year they were solid!bball i havent been able to put fert, on most fields this year to wet and when i had time had too many other things to do two years ago this field was 40% clover im afraid all the rain has leached these fields so bad next years fert.bill will be high to get them back to what they should be dad allways said rain will wash N right out. didnt have 20% clover this year.that hurts i like really like clover with my fescue .used have timothy ,orchard,fescue and clover on this 15 acre. made some nice hay .

Just get used to it... Stuff needs doing and I'll keep picking away at it day by day, until I ain't got no more days. No big deal.

I am very very tired

Besides work and the farm, I've been in a custody case with the ex for over a year now. Fence is right, worry won't do a bit of good. I just have to trust that the Lord will work things out, and do what I know is right. Just remember, all that work will still be there when you get around to it, make sure the most important things (family) are took care of first.
