Starter switch on Kubota L3710 will not Kill Engine

I have been working in heavy brush with a box blade and have had a great deal of limbs and trash to get tangled in tractor. When I put the tractor to bed this evening the engine would not stop running by turning the switch to the off position. I had to pull the kill switch to stop the engine. Any help or suggestion? :?: Thanks for Help in advance.Oh yes it is a Kubota L3710.

Did the owner's manual offer any trouble shooting advice in that regard? BTW, tie rod on the Long came loose today. Must be something in the air. :o

You have to shut off the fuel, (kill switch) to stop the engine. Nothing unusual.

This tractor shuts down like a truck or car does. You don't have to pull a kill switch, you simply turn off the ignition.

Sounds like the brush pulled a wire loose on a magnet valve. Just a guess as I don't own one of them.

Bud you have a heck of a time with them Kubotas, look under the deck there is a wiring harness that has came unplugged is the most likely cause. Think skid plate.

I agree. You have a loose/disconntected/broken wire to your fuel solenoid.

I haven't had time today to check the tractor for loose or disconnected wire. The owners manual gave really good advice,"call your Kubota dealer". I don't know why, I have never gotten any real help from any dealer for any piece of equipment I have. I will be busy with one of my other occupations until Thursday, So I guess I will wait till then to check it all out. BTW< Caustic, If you read this post, It seems like it is always the nickel and dime stuff that kills you. Right?

Fixed the Kubota! I don't know how it fixed the problem,but I disconnected the Wire from the fuel Solenoid-rerouted the wire and plugged it back in. Now it works just as it should... THANKs for your Help. :D

Well Flaboy My first Kubota is 29 years old and still running great. The sheetmetal is a little rough, but the only real maintenance other than scheduled maintenance has been cleaning the filter inside the tranny box and Caustic told me how to repair that. This was not the little screen filter . Now if the other kubota lasts as long as the first, I will be willing to sell it to you, as i will be 98 years old at that time and i doubt if I will be raising cows and doing tractor work. However ,if I'm still working I might consider a MF :D :D :D
