A .22 caliber induced earache sure discourages tree rats that try to steal my pecans, and I bet it would work on your berry thiefs. ;-)

I planted a few strawberries plants, but have only one plant left with one lonely strawberry on it. :roll: :lol:
Don't know how big your strawberry patch is.....but maybe you could box it in with wood, and attach a hinged door for easy access. Like building a shadow box frame, but with a reinforced framed door. Attach screening to door and hinges. I would also put a little latch on it the door. Gives you easy access, keeps squirriels out. Doesn't make any sense but maybe you will get the idea.
OR....maybe hang 2 or 3 metal pie pans to a wooden stake, and place several stakes in and around your strawberry patch. Maybe the noise and sun reflecting off the metal will keep the squirrels out.
