Squeeze chute question

I am cleaning and refinishing my squeeze chute. Works well but had a couple coats of paint and some rust (mostly the bottom). I have decided to use truck bed liner coating on the lower, non moving parts. Seemed like a good idea and was just wondering if anyone else has tried this.

I have never done that personally but don't see why it wouldn't work. Post some pictures when you finish if you decide to do it so we call all see how it turned out.

We spray bed liners in here at work and it should work well for you. only thing I would say to watch is anywhere that there will be an edge that could be kick or stepped on it may try to peel on ya. example as say you spray a step and you only spray the raiser and when you step down and your heel hits that time after time it will normally start to peel off.

Anyone have some good stories on things they have used truck bed liner spray on that you typically wouldn't see? We've thought about getting it done on the nose of our bumper hitch stock trailer where it takes a beating from all the mud and rocks that get kicked up from the back wheels of the truck and takes it's toll on the steel. The trailer shop suggested putting a strip of diamond plating there too which is a possibility.

Yes SPH we here spray Reflex Truck Liners and we have sprayed my sister bumper hitch horse trailer when we first got it and it worked well. When she traded it off for a 4 horse the trailer dealer liked it and we spray a couple other for him as well.
We have sprayed trailers, bog boxes, tool boxes, Ranch Hand front bumpers, a show box for a guy that wanted a rubbery kind of floor for his show heifer to stand on when washing & grooming.

Thanks for the compliments. Took probably 4 days labor. Looks are secondary (first cow thru is gonna crap on it) the best part is that everything works like it is supposed to. We even lifted it up and redid the bottom.

looks good. did you spray it your self with the rattle can bed liner spray or take it to a bed liner place to spray? If ya took it somewhere what brand of spray did they use?

Way to cheap to pay to have it done. I used the stuff from Tractor Supply, both spray and with a roller ( more of a spreader arounder since it is so thick). Rolled on flat areas and sprayed in crannies. Just made sure was clean, dry and oil free when I started and made sure it was fully dry before applying next coat. I have about four coats on most, more on some areas. I think it looks good and should last but hit me back in a year or so and I'll know more.

Finally, almost done with total barn refit and get to use my "new" chute in the next week or so. I will let y'all know how the coating holds up.
