Spring has Sprung here. Calves are bounding around the pastures and the heifers are curiously investigating us as we repair fence.

Awesome pics and cattle!! Do you have an expensive camera? I need something that takes pics like yours

The calf in the first pic should be named Cheetah

Lol, thank you all.

BCG, the yellow button tags are electronic RFID tags. They are for our national traceability program and are mandatory for cattle to be sold.

Toro, I have a Canon T4i that I bought a few years ago. I paid around 700 for it originally, and I love it.

Thanks for the info. I am definitely going to look into that Canon

Canon makes some good cameras. Any of their T series are fairly similar, mine has a touch screen, which was the biggest difference from the T3 camera. I don't know if the touch screen was worth the extra it cost me (I rarely use it).

Then you need to buy lenses for these cameras, and there's a million choices out there :) . Most come with a standard (18-55 mm lens) that doesn't have enough zoom, but I find its a good lens for landscape photos. My zoom is a fairly cheap one that I bought used (ebay is wonderful) , it's a Canon 55-250 mm. I did the research, and it was a well recommended one for amateur/casual photographers. Keep in mind that there are some pretty good lenses out there made by other brands. Just make sure they are compatible with a Canon (or whatever brand you have) ....

The next lens I buy will either be a Wide Angle or a Macro, as I like bot kinds of photography.

Just do your research before you buy, there are a lot of reviews out there that will help you out...And know what sort of photography you want to do, that will help you decide on lenses.

What's the flight zone on the 142 pair.
