OK. It is now officially spring. I went out to feed the cows at the crack of dawn as usual. This morning I didn't put a coat on for the first time in months. It was up to 38 degrees and is supposed to hit 70 today. I am going to start irrigating this afternoon. The shift from winter chores to summer chores is about to begin.

It has been cool here the last couple days. It rained two nights ago, and last night. Looks like it will be a few days before I can get anymore field work done. I guess I will work on an old roller we have.

We got 0.20 inches of rain last night and around 40* F this morning. Not much rain, but it will keep things trying to green up til the wind hits. Still in D3 drought, but grass is trying and this little bit soaked in an inch or so which has some benefit for grass.

Snow flurries last night and froze up good this morning. Supposed to get into the 40s. Another 2-3 foot of snow to melt and then it'll be spring.
i enjoy reading about the weather that i won't see. upper 80's in my locales. moving cows from a wet place to a wet place. enjoying the rein though. lots of flies already, i can almost hear the mosquitoes warming up now. then it is spring.

84 yesterday in Houston, we're getting a lot of no cool calls at the office and installing equipment. I'm a hot weather person so I like it. Headed up to the ranch today, it's close to 200 miles north but still supposed to hit low 80's. Has been raining quite a bit and the little bride says the ground is pretty soggy but the rain will shut down pretty soon most likely and we will be glad for all the ground moisture

Good thing I started irrigating yesterday. There was a 50% chance of some light showers. Woke up this morning and it is pouring. Still pretty dark out but I can see water running down the driveway so it has rained pretty hard during the night.
