I didn't want no dang garden anyway. Frost last night, 16 tomato plants dark and wilted, same with my bell peppers--okra don't look too good either. Corn looks to be ok--probably frost again tonight.
 
Grey that sucks here we can only plant beans peas potatoes garlic and onions frost doesnt do anything with it too much I think ur corn will be ok.. but the tomatos and peppers and okra i think have had it
 
It is Autumn hear at the moment.

I was chuffed when this dahlia flowered. I took some bulbs from Mum's garden and I was successful with growing them, even though I read later that I had done it all wrong!!

At the moment it is 7.04 am in the morning and 25 degrees which is I believe 77 degrees for you.

It is only getting up to about 28 - 29 degrees during the day. So still fairly hot, but does mean an extra day or two for doing hay as cooler than Summer and not as long a days for the hay to dry.

I will go and put our forecast for you for the next week. It says a bit hotter than what I put above.

Yall have some of the craziest weather out there. When i lived in e tex. i broke the garden with snow falling and planted the very next day in 75 degree sun.
 
My beans and blackeyed peas came up very spotty--both times. (had to replant due to the late frost) I think it is because the cool fronts keep coming thru and not enough daily sunshine to get the soil warm and stay warm. Most of the empty areas also seem to be where water stood after a heavy rain a few days after planting. Everything else is up and growing, but much slower than in years past. Even the yellow squash, which has always done so good, is barely formed into recognized leaves, yellowish in color, which indicates to me too much moisture. Even my tomato plants tho over 1 ft tall look "ill". They are beginning to have a few blooms tho.

Problem here has been not enough moisture. Planted but to busy to irrigate and not enough rain to get things up and it is/was cold with way to much wind. Corn looks ok and tomatoes look good. The rest is horrible.........and like it is with the cattle, I don't count on the garden to put food on the table.
 
we still have frost in the ground. Last week we had the worst ice storm that I can remember and then 5" of snow on it. There are so many trees damaged it is taking all our time getting things cleaned up. Last year we had so much planting done by now and this year we haven't turned a wheel yet. I'm fairly certain I'm going to be a bit behind schedule this year.
 
I tell ya my potatoes that I planted same time are breaking through the ground more than my cucumbers beans squash I spent time replanting some today this year has already began weird. we have plenty of moisture maybe too much since it rains once every other day lol. I plan on putting tomato plants in the ground this weekend and peppers.
 
Well, between last week's cold front (got down to 37*F here) and last night's cold front, I think my cucumbers are finished--again. Leaves all turned white, then curled up and turned brown. Some plants, it doesn't take a frost--just a quick & definite change in temps and it kills them. Cucumbers are one of those plants. :cry2:
Oh well, I have plenty of seed.
 
Grey dont feel bad at all I have had to replant green beens twice and my lima beans still arent up and I guess I will use that space for maybe cantaloupes or watermelon instead of replanting the limas but who knows its really irritating me lol... My grandmothers garden seems to be doing really well I side dressed it and cultivated it for her she wanted to hoe the garden out but I couldn't let her do that so when she sat down for a break after planting her tomato and pepper plants i rushed and got my farmall cub and came back and cultivated it for her. I have attached a pic of her garden.
