I have a cow that came up lame. At first I thought it might be footrot so I gave her a shot of LA-200. While she was in the chute I had a closer look. It ends up that she has a split in the bottom of her hoof near the upper rear of the hoof on the right hand side. It is in the pad of the hoof. I was wondering if this will heal in time or not. She is bred, due in March/April. Will she be okay until then or not? Our herd is just small and easy to manage. Not range cattle.
I would appreciate any tips on what I could do, or should do,
Thanks
