I gotta heifer calf that had a rough time of it at birth , she couldn't nurse at first she had a thiamine shortage . after six days of shots ,tube feeds and bottle feeds she went to momma . Now she's 6 months old and is still tiny, I've accepted the fact she's never gonna be huge but she's sluggish for the most part . when she's by her self she doesn't even finish a bowl of grain. vet seems to think she's normal but he doesn't see her all the time like I do. Is there any thing I can try to pic her up. shiipin her just aint an option so I gotta try something thanks, Gonzo :???:

Is she sluggish when she is not alone??

Could be a lot of things. One thing popped into my head - a heart defect. Could result in sluggishness and poor growth. Did the vet listen to her heart with a stethoscope? Would hear a heart murmur if such was the case.

The vet checked her out good ;listened to her heart and lungs , took temp ,etc. He said she was normal and in good shape. I got her inside all by her self to keep the others from bullying he out of her food, Ill see if that helps. thanks Gonzo :tiphat:

I like that idea chippie , I got a younger calf that's still on momma but it's about time to take her away. They won't bully each other out too bad . I was cleanin her stable and she had a little more spring in her step this afternoon .
