I'm thinking about getting some southern comfort semen and putting him on a couple of my cows. Didn't know if anyone has used him or heard about him. I've seen very little on him. The couple calves I seen looked good. Any info helps. Thanks a ton!
 
If I'm not mistaken, he is the sire of Monopoly, and I have seen some really good Monopoly calves. If Monopoly can be used as any indication, i would think southern comfort is worth it.
 
Don't know much about Southern Comfort, but he is sired by Monopoly, and out of a Stainless Steel daughter. Judging from that, he's probably capable of siring show quality calves, I'd guess he might downsize a bigger cow, not sure he'd be my choice to use on a smaller framed one. I'd also guess she needs to be sound. Looks like he ought to be able to give you some power and look though.
 
We may be talking about different breeds. I'm referring to the Simbrah K Bar Southern Comfort. We have considered using him when it's time to breed my daughter's 3 yr old.

Ya I'm talking about the clubby southern comfort. Did see the simbrah version today. Had never heard of them until today either.
 
Sorry txffamom, I didn't know anything about the Simbrahs. Since the o.p. was from Ohio, I figured they were talking about the clubbies.
 
No problem, DLD. I just figure everyone should raise Simbrahs... ;-)

Sorry I confused the conversation. From what I understand, the clubby Monopoly is top notch.
 
Well, it got cleared up and some of us learned something! I didn't know the Simbrah had a monopoly bull also that throws nice calves. And yes, the clubby monopoly is one of the best clubby bulls out there for producing winners.
Personally, I really like the monopoly sired southern comfort. I havea larger framed cow I would consider using him on.
