Thank you Aero. Can you tell me how you did it?
The cattle in the photographs. Top photo is of a 2 1/2 year old, he weighs about 760 kgs.
The second photo is of my top show cow. She is the mother of the bull in the last photo,he weighed 920 kgs last February. I have used him over a few cows,he's three years old. He was the runner up interbreed bull at one of our local shows last February. Udena the cow in the picture her mother I sold when she turned nineteen. Udena is 7 year old. She's going to be flushed later in the year to an English bull born in 1967. I have some fullblood English embryos that are going to be used later in the year as well.
I'll be sending in some more photos soon of SDs,Brahmans,South Brahvon,Hereford,Gelbvieh and Black Baldys and the country in our area.

it's pretty easy to use a picture that's already on a web page
  • when you look at your pictures in the gallery, right click on them and select "Properties". (the full sized one at the bottom)

    highlight the Address (URL): in the properties window that pops up. it should start with http...

    pres ctrl+C to copy the text you have highlighted

    go into your text box to put a message on here.

    click in the text box where you type.

    press ctrl+V to paste the text into the window

    highlight what you just pasted in the text window

    click on the yellow "Img" button above the text window.
the basic concept is to get the Address of the picture into the text box when you post a message.

after you have the address, it needs
around it (in that order).

you can type it in, but mistakes are easily made and the copy-paste method is much better.

btw - you can do this with any picture that's already on the internet.


do you have any weights on the mature females?

To copy the picures to a post go to the photo gallery. Pick the photo you want to include and click to enlarge it. Now scroll down towards the bottom till you see the UBBCode line, like on the bottom of this screen shot

Click on the copy to clipboard button, then go to the post you want the picture in, right click, paste.
hope this helps.

edit note: if you'll resize your photos they will load quicker.
try 640x480 and see if it speeds things up.

Both ways work though huh. :)
Someone posted not to long ago that programmers hate redundit code..yeah right..and I thought about the 17 different ways Windows has to accomplish the same thing.....hotkeys, right click menus, command bar menu, etc. No wonder the learning curve is so high for these things. Kinda like cows, about the time you get comfortable doing things one way you find out it was all wrong, ehh. At least for the way someone else does it. :lol:

thanks for all the help will give it a go. don't worry I won't put any photos of Steve Irwin on there. I believe we breed some very handy South Devon cattle. We only have about 5 cows in our herd without our registered prefix now. We have sixty registered breeders would have more if we had the space. Our mature cows weigh about 750 to 850 kgs. Our calf birthweights are never over 43/44 kgs. Our average would be about 39kgs. We are the only registered breeder in our state that shows cattle these days. The others have lost interest or are just plain lazy.
