In looking through some pics today, I came across this one. This little girl was born running. For about three weeks, she was in charge. Active, alert, the leader of her group. Then she started slowing down, not nursing, laying around. Eventually she died. Vet did a PM and found that the first part of her stomach was full of hay. The opening from that part into the next section of her stomach was very, very small and partially covered by abnormal growths. She was fine as long as she just drank milk, but when she started eating, she couldn't pass the solids on through. So she basically starved to death. Sure hurt my heart; she was such a nice heifer, a Foreman X Dateline.
