My wife grew up in Lubbock. She got nailed by one like that on the back of her head as a child and the first truck she bought got totaled the day she bought it by baseball sized hail... If you ever want to see someone go into panic mode over a storm cloud, come on out next year when we're getting rain again. It's way more dramatic than the storms here. :D

That storm is 11 miles north of me at the moment and has died down quite a bit.

It is a great lightning display here. The sky had some weird colors right after sunset.

Well, I thought we were going to be skirted by the storm, but it made a little southerly dip and we got hit. Not much damage at my place, just a pecan limb down, but some people are missing lots of shingles and trees. Two houses east of town were leveled, tho. Heard they are some injuries but don't know know the extent. Power came back around 1:00 this morning.

Saw a lot of pics this morning. One town the street looked like a river. Must have come a flood in addition to the baseball size hail and tornadoes. Glad you came thru with just a glancing blow. My sister and her husband are at Texas Motor Speedway and I think they spent several hours under the stands just waiting and watching.

Sure do feel bad for those whose homes were wrecked or damaged.
And especially hope those injuries aren't serious.
