Good looking walnuts do they have the white or brown meat in them? I have a couple trees that the walnuts are white when cracked out and they are good.

Out here it is a great fall project to pick them up (they grow wild out here) and take them in to sell them. They are going for$14/hundred, highest in a long time. The kids like to do it to earn a little extra cash...

Husk off. If I remember from previous years it takes something like 10 nuts to make a pound. Already hauled in one load, this is off of just one tree in the back yard. We had a helleva wind and it knocked them all off at once.

These are the REAL walnuts, black walnuts, not those crappy english ones. Although english are sure a bunch easier to crack and eat then these are.

I don't know anyone near me that buys them. Years ago you could sell the Black Walnuts and Pecans.

I wish I knew somone who would buy them. I'd be happy to gather, hull and sell.

This year we have huge amounts of them. I haven't seen a squirrel in quite a while (which I find puzzling), so they haven't taken any.

For our own use I used to hull them by driving the truck over then on concrete. I sent a bag of them to my brother some years ago. He cursed me for a year, trying to crack them and get the meat out was killing him till I told him to use a hammer instead of a nut cracker.

I love walnuts too but if you get that black crap on your fingers and clothes it stains the crap out of them. Good luck with those dun lol

These work good as a Walnut cracker. I bought one and got another at the flea market at a good price.
