Happened upon this scene while moving hay. The one on its back only has three legs. The other has its nose under the side of the shell trying to flip 3'fer back over. This is the 2nd time I've seen 3'fer on its back. Thought the pic was kinda neat

Yep. I hear they are good eating, and I'm tempted to put 3'fer in a soup, but they are protected and I aint that hungry yet

The only thing I can think of I run over on purpose are snakes.

No mating no fighting. I watched for a few seconds to make sure I was seeing things right. One was absolutely trying to flip the other back over
 
If it was spring and desert tortoises I could explain it. Males during breeding season (or territory season) will ram each othr and flip their opponenet over then try to push them out of their area. Friend of mine had one that took up residence in his yard and when ever you walked around back there he would charge across the yard and bang into you. He'ld follow you all over the place until you got out of his area then he'ls stop and go back to eating or just sitting aorund.
