here are some new pictures of coming 3 year old bull, Stinger, and two of his calves. We only bred him to 4 females the first year, and got two bulls and two heifers. His second calf crop is being born this year, and we should get around 20 or so calves from him, I think.

the heifer's d.o.b. is 3/23/06... At the Fort Worth Stock Show she was Junior Champion Texas Longhorn Female (out of ~150 heifers) and then Reserve Grand Champion Texas Longhorn Female (out of ~220 females up to 3 yrs old)...

the bull's d.o.b. is 5/10/06... he won his class out of 10 (max allowed in any one class) in the youth at Fort Worth and then at Dixie National he was Junior champion longhorn bull and Reserve Grand Champion Texas Longhorn Bull

Ryan, if the breeding decisions are yours, you are IMO the best purebred breeder on Cattle Today. You absolutely blow the rest of us away with the distance your herd is above the rest of their respective breed. No one gets close that I have seen. Congratulations! Nice stock of beef animals, any breed , any color.

Awfully big calves for some that havent been born yet. Go back and look at ya dates on the pics ryan. I think you meant they were born in 06 not 07 ;-)

Thank you very much for the compliment, and everyone else's too. I would love to be able to take all the credit, but my dad and I run the ranch and the owner has a hand in the cattle. My dad and I make most all of the decisions, but the owner does flip the bill and picked out a lot of the animals before we came aboard. I am very proud of the animals we produce. Although, we are not the only ones producing and breeding animals like this, there are some others, not a tremendous amount but the numbers are growing.
