That 1st calf and the black one in the 2nd pic sure are fuzzy little dudes! Are they born with that much hair or does it grow in because of the cold?

Those calves are born with short hair but then it grows a bit come winter. Thoses calves are Welsh Black/highland the one on the right turned out to be a great mom.
