What kind of storm came out of that last one?

All the pictures are of the same storm. The last one turned out like that just because of where the lightning strike was in relation to the bins.

How exactly are you taking the pictures of the lightning. I have been trying for years but they never seem to turn out, it's either a dark sky becuase i snapped too late or just a big bright blob.

Just with my digital camera. It is set on "automatic" and you need to wait for the right storm, and be lucky. With my camera, I can hold the button partly down so it focuses, and then wait for a strike. It has to be a long one, and of course it has to be in the right spot for you to get the picture. I took more than 10 pictures of black sky for every one that worked out. THen, you need to use a photo editing program on the computer to adjust the brightness, sharpness and anything else that will help you get a clearer picture.
