My 77 Massey 265 today.
Young man that works for me and helps me out bought it. He is a really hard worker with a full time job, bales hay runs a few cows. He has been wanting another tractor for his haying so I let him have the old Massey for 3k.
Old tractor still runs like a top everything works.
Kinda feels sad and weird it not being in the barn.

Sounds like you are getting soft to me.

Of course, I sold a tractor a few years ago and stopped my truck to watch the guy mow hay with it later that year. I was just making sure he knew what he was doing.

Nice tractor as I have driven a MF 255 a lot and sold my MF 285 a couple years ago with 2400 hrs.

Those Perkins engines are good.

I replaced it (MF285) with a 92hp Kubota 4x4 with loader. I couldn't take the 2-wheel drive and no AC any longer (getting to old)

I thought you still had that! :frowns:

Wish you would have let me know at the time. I hope you got a phenomenal price for it!

It was a 1980 model, still had the original paint, new Fire-stones on the rear and no leaks. I hated to see it go, but I didn't use it much without AC.
