Don't take @chevytaHOE5674 's comment too literally... although it does what he said... but ONLY when mother nature left several feet on the ground so you can redistribute it....
It's a snow blower,,,, literally eats" through the deep snow and blows it off to the side or into a truck.... the upright on most can be aimed in whatever direction needed to direct the snow away from the area being cleared... similar to what a corn chopper does as far as collecting and blowing the "end product" into a truck or away from the area that is being cleared...
