last night I went out to ckeck on a heifer that was caughing at evening feeding, she is OK, probably got some alfalfa candy in her snoot, same one that caughed three times before each feeding.
I found a seven and a half month old steer that I thought was weaned sneaking a drink from his mama...never noticed this during the day and her udder should have dried, weaned in October, seperated for five weeks. She's starting the third trimester. Seperated them again and this morning I let them be together...oh yeah right to the teat...found him a pen buddy and we'll try it again, one more time, if not then he'll become some after Christmas foldin money.
