My 3 year old Brangus bull has blown both of his back knees (and right at breeding time!) - we are giving him steroid injections for the inflammation which has enabled him to stand up, and he now has limited mobility. I know there's a 21 day withdrawal for the antibiotic we gave him (before we knew what had happened), but am now wondering if there's also a time for the steroid residue....... Can't seem to find that addressed anywhere... help?

It would help to know what you actually gave him. A steroid doesn't tell us much. I'm also curious why he was given antibiotics when you had no justification to do so.

Administering drugs, then checking for a withdrawl after the fact, must be a more common practice than I had presumed.

Sadly I think you're right!
