skyrocketing hay prices

How much is hay running a ton in your area? I've heard as high as 240/ton here, and thats cow hay, not horse or dairy quality. Ouch.

$75/ton for junk grass hay FOB and around $160/ton for top of the line dairy Alfalfa FOB

I got some good hay delivered for $70 a ton. 800 pound sq bales.

Hey, how are you doing with this latest snowstorm? Do you have enough hay? Cows ok?

btw - hay in our area is running 180-200 a ton.

I just got a load in for $155 ton. Pretty good fourth cutting alfalfa not dairy or export quality but real good feeder hay. That was $120 fob in the Columbia Basin with a $35 haul. There just isn't any grass hay available, period. What eastside Timothy and Orchardgrass horse hay there is selling for up to $200 a ton fob.
