lots and lots of baking soda with vinegar is another remedy.

You can also look online for special soaps. To get the odor completely gone will take time.

I posted on the Dog/Cat thread but need help, so will ask here too. WHAT WORKS TO DEODER A DOG??????
Maggie Mae got it on the snout last night, I used vinegar, didn't help much. :help:

Hosing them down with plain old water, followed by a bath will completely eliminate the odor if done fairly immediately after being sprayed. I've had cause to use this treatment on 3 different occasions, and it does work - don't ask me why, though, because I don't know.

Dawn dish washing soap works well.

When my boys were young they used to trap skunks and coons for a local outfitter . The animals were live trapped then taken far downwind from the camp and shot .
I got sprayed twice and I used the body wash from this company , it took the smell completely away , I even got to sleep in the same bed as my wife :clap:
