skin condition

I got me a Holstein steer be havin a spot develop over his left eye. It be grey in color, no hair growin on it, no swelling, smooth to the touch at first but now seem to be a bit on the rough side. It don't seem to be causin him any pain to touch it, neither seem to be getting any bigger. Anyone ever be seein this in the past ? Any ideas what it might be?

agree with dun (RINGWORM) my cows had the same and after treatment the hair will grow back in about 2 weeks time.

Ringworm is highly contagious not only to other animals but also to humans.
