Looking to see if any one has insight on sitz stellar and his typical gestation, I'm expecting a handful out of a groups of heifers and cows.
Thanks

I have 75 head starting March 10th. Will let you know then.

We got first two last night at approximately 265 days gestation. Both up running around.

I used a son, Sitz Resilient, and the first 3 have been 10-13 days early out of cows that are usually 7-10 days early. There should be a couple more coming. All due around March 14 (8 days away yet) based on AI date. BWs have been in the 70's.

I bred several to Mohnen Substantial (Stellar's sire) and one of the heifers calved last night only 4 days early. Substantial calves seem to hang in there toward full term from what I am seeing.

We have about 70 head of Stellar calves on the ground. Probably about 10 left on day 270 so he is a short gestation bull for sure. I would expect his calving ease direct to slip a bit more as he will throw some bigger calves That aren't shaped the best for first calvers. Great looking calves though.
