I was at the grocery store saw a toyota full size truck and evidently it has the " METRO SEXUAL " package. They have carpet as a bedliner my wife said it was a guy that got out of the truck. I showed her she laughed her head off.

I looked at a late 80's Ford f250 with carpet lined bed and camper top. I would have bought it and ripped the carpet out since it only had 40,000 miles and was a 1 owner, but it was 2wd. This was only 5 years or so ago.

Yea, No truck will be kept on my place with carpet in the bed thats BS... After I threw in tools chainsaw wood it would be tore to H... anyway.
 
Devils Advocate here. I have a Tacoma and seriously am thinking of the carpet, it is an option from Toyota. It cannot make rust as the beds are made of some kind of composite material. That composite material is extremely slick when wet. And, yes, it would come in real handy when taking my wife for a ride on the farm.

Strictly a question here but Sizmic is there a reason your wife can't ride in the cab with you? Could you not just bring a blanket if she has to ride in the back? I am guessing this truck will not be doing any work where you need to put things in the bed.
 
Called a bed rug and they can be left exposed. Most of the ones I see have a bed cap on them. I had a guy try to sell me one when I was buying a rubber bed mat.

Well, a joke could be made that she wouldn't fit, but that is far from the truth. She does ride in the cab. The bedrug might lend a little more cushioning and is form fitted, so, no shifting around like a blanket. Yes I do haul quite a bit of stuff in my Taco TRD, 1 ton of sand one time. I realize thats not as much as a fullsize but not many people would even attempt that. Don't really need one of those big, fuel gulping, tire burning, black smokin, mosquito fogger trucks with stacks for most jobs around our farm. We have a truck for the real heavy stuff.

Gotcha, The only truck that doesn't get worked on my place is my wifes lol anything else is fair game for whatever will fit or can be thrown in the bed lol.
